Silver-Copper Filled Elastomer Shielding Gasket in a Silicone Binder
CHO-SEAL 1215 is a top-tier elastomeric shielding material designed for high-performance applications in challenging environments. Meeting MIL-DTL-83528 Type A standards, it thrives in portable and exposed conditions, particularly excelling in environments requiring noise shielding for frequencies up to 2 GHz. With a noise shielding level exceeding 120 dB and a maximum operating temperature of 125°C, it ensures reliable performance even in demanding settings. Its silicone elastomer composition combined with silver-copper filler material provides exceptional durability and conductivity, while its specific gravity of 3.5 and durometer of 65 (Shore A) ensure optimal flexibility and resilience. Notably, its high tensile strength of 200 psi and thermal conductivity of 2.1 W/m-K make it ideal for applications requiring high power transmission for waveguides and effective heat dissipation. With a shelf life of 12 months with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) and indefinite without, CHO-SEAL 1215 promises long-lasting, high-quality performance.
CHO-SEAL 1215 is a silver-copper filled elastomer EMI shielding gasket in a silicone binder which offers good shielding but only fair corrosion performance. It is available in sheet form and extruded into various profiles, allowing for design and manufacturing flexibility. For use in both military and commercial applications, sheet materials can be die-cut or water jet cut to make precision parts in large quantities.
