‘Single pellet’ electrically conductive plastic pellets deliver superior performance and consistency compared to many other conductive plastic materials. The main advantage lies in the use of long-fiber pultrusion, which ensures uniform distribution of conductive filler in each pellet. Our single pellet materials excel in filler consistency, outperforming any multi-pellet dry mixes.
Most engineered thermoplastics offer high levels of electrical insulation but have minimal “immunity” against EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). Electrically conductive plastics, however, incorporate specialized modifiers to provide substantial protection for sensitive electronics from incoming EMI, while also preventing the emission of EMI to other vulnerable components.
Product designers and engineers are increasingly recognizing the unique benefits of electrically conductive plastics over traditional metals—such as reduced weight, lower costs, and the elimination of secondary manufacturing steps—all of which contribute to streamlined supply chains and improved product performance.
Why Conductive Plastics?
Electrically conductive plastic pellets, crafted as single-pellet formulations, deliver exceptional performance and consistency compared to many other conductive plastic materials. The primary benefit of our approach is the use of long-fiber pultrusion, which guarantees a uniform distribution of conductive filler in every pellet. This results in unparalleled filler consistency, outperforming any multi-pellet dry mixes.
Our single-pellet conductive plastics are engineered to provide the most dependable and consistent EMI shielding for molded products. Unlike multi-pellet blends (often referred to as dry blends or salt-and-pepper blends), which combine pellets from various compounds, our homogeneous single-pellet solution offers superior reliability in maintaining consistent shielding properties.
