Skived, High Modulus PTFE Pressure Sensitive
CHR 2255 is made from a modified high-modulus PTFE film coated with a high-temperature silicone adhesive.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
CHR 2255 excels with high dielectric and tensile strength, making it an exceptionally durable insulation tape. Its PTFE and silicone adhesive construction allows it to operate continuously at temperatures up to 260°C (500°F). As a high-modulus tape, CHR 2255 has low elongation, making it suitable for application with automatic wrapping equipment. Additionally, it is chemically inert, low-friction, anti-stick, and non-toxic, making it versatile for various applications. CHR 2255 meets MIL-I-23594C U.S. Government specifications.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
The superior dielectric properties of CHR 2255, along with its high-temperature adhesive coating, make it an ideal high-temperature insulation solution. CHR 2255 is utilized for phase insulation in bundling end turns, spot bundling, and anchoring breakouts. Additionally, it is employed in the aerospace industry to protect airframe wire harnesses.
