The V2800 series is a black, closed-cell polyurethane foam tape designed for bonding applications. It features a high-performance, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on both sides, allowing for stress dissipation across the entire bond. The tape is suitable for severe exterior conditions, offering durability against UV light, extreme temperatures, fungi, oxidation, and ozone.
Key Features:
- Stress distribution minimizes pressure points, reducing distortion.
- High-performance acrylic adhesive ensures a strong, long-lasting bond.
- Conformable, closed-cell polyurethane foam provides excellent environmental resistance.
- Prevents corrosion of dissimilar materials by eliminating direct contact.
- Standard polyethylene liner facilitates automated production.
Available Sizes:
- Standard thickness: .030, .045, .062, .090, and .120 inches.
- Master roll size: 56 inches (1422 mm) width, with slit rolls also available.
Standard roll length varies with thickness, and nonstandard roll lengths are available on special order. Matrix Technology can slit and convert tape to specific application requirements.
Applications:
The tape is suitable for various applications, including window muntin bars, emblems, trailer roof bows, panel stiffeners, signs, nameplates, weather stripping, body side molding, and composite panels.
