Silicone Foam Rubber
Introducing Saint-Gobain® Norseal® F-12 silicone foam, a remarkable material with exceptional flame retardancy, low toxic gas emission, and outstanding compression set resistance. Its combination of properties makes it the top choice for fire- and heat-resistant gaskets, seals, cushioning, radiant heat shields, and insulation blankets. F-12 is highly versatile, lightweight, and easily processed, making it ideal for laminating to seat cover fabrics and carpeting to enhance flame resistance in passenger compartment furnishings. In aircraft and aerospace applications, its low density contributes to weight savings and increased fuel efficiency. Additionally, its compression set, fire resistance, and weathering properties make it perfect for lamp gaskets, ensuring safe outdoor operation and low maintenance. F-12 meets key industry standards such as Alstom Bombardier SMP 800-C and UL V-0.
