Parker Chomerics introduces SOFT-SHIELD® 4860, a versatile electrically conductive foam engineered for indoor applications, boasting multi-planar conductivity along the Z-axis. This innovative material combines silver-plated nylon fibers with low-density silicone foam, offering superior EMI shielding performance at a competitive cost. As an enhanced version of the acclaimed SOFT-SHIELD® 4850, it’s designed for higher temperatures and is halogen-free, capable of operating up to 125°C. With its meticulously dispersed conductive fibers, this foam maintains electrical stability through numerous closure cycles while exhibiting minimal compression set (<5%). Additionally, it's available with or without an electrically conductive acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, and comes in bulk rolls, cut sheets, or custom die-cut shapes to suit various application needs.
