Silver-Copper Filled Elastomer EMI Shielding Gasket in a Fluorosilicone Binder
CHO-SEAL 1217 is a silver-copper filled elastomer EMI shielding gasket in a fluorosilicone binder which offers very good shielding but only fair corrosion performance. CHO-SEAL 1217 combines the conductivity of silver-copper fillers with the resilience of an elastomeric structure to provide reliable EMI shielding in various electronic applications. The silver-copper filled elastomer ensures efficient electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) attenuation, safeguarding sensitive electronics from external interference. Its fluorosilicone binder offers excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability, making it suitable for challenging environments where exposure to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures is a concern. However, it is worth noting that its corrosion performance is rated as fair, making it important to consider the specific environmental conditions when selecting this gasket. Despite this limitation, CHO-SEAL 1217 remains a versatile choice for applications requiring robust EMI shielding with moderate corrosion resistance.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Available with a thin, acrylic, proprietary electrically conductive, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing
- Sheet stock without adhesive backing has an indefinite shelf life (with PSA shelf life is 1 year)
- For part numbers where two temperature values are shown, the first represents max. operating temp. for conformance to MIL-DTL-83528 and the second value represents the practical limit for exposure up to 1000 hrs. (compressed between flanges 7-10%). Materials with single values conform to both definitions
