Matrix supplies microwave absorber materials and precision converting support for RF equipment assemblies. For an enclosure cavity, the supplied shape can matter as much as the material family: the absorber has to fit around the components, interfaces and usable space inside the equipment.
Absorber materials address unwanted RF energy within an assembly. Their role differs from that of a conductive shielding gasket, which supports electrical continuity across an enclosure joint. An RF cavity may use both approaches for different parts of the electromagnetic problem.
Manufacturer materials in a useful part format
Parker Chomerics offers elastomer-based microwave absorber materials within its CHO-MUTE range. Specific grades have different constructions and frequency-dependent behavior. Matrix connects material selection with the format required by the equipment, while the original manufacturer remains the source of the base material and its published properties.
A cut part can follow the available cavity area while leaving access to connectors, fasteners and other features. Where an appropriate adhesive option is available, the supplied construction can also address how the absorber is positioned in the assembly. Thickness, frequency range and attachment are material-specific considerations, not universal properties of an absorber sheet.
Converting around the equipment
Our precision converting capabilities include custom sizing and die cutting for suitable engineered materials. For RF equipment, this supports a discussion of the absorber shape alongside the surrounding component arrangement.
Examples include compact instrument housings and RF modules with internal cavities. These are application opportunities for material review, rather than claims of a completed customer design or a guaranteed attenuation result. Equipment testing establishes the benefit in the finished assembly.
Talk with Matrix about the supplied component
We can assist with material selection, sample requests and a converted format suited to the project. Bring the cavity geometry and intended RF application to Matrix to discuss absorber material and part options.
